2026 Black History Month Honorees

Assemblymember Tasha Boerner wants to spotlight San Diego County residents who are doing amazing things in the 77th Assembly District. She wants to know who you think is leading our communities.
This year, we are celebrating “A Century of Black History Commemorations,” the 100th anniversary of Black History Month.
Please fill out this form if you would like to submit a nomination for an individual making a difference in our district.
Nomination Criteria:
- Nominees must reside or work in the 77th Assembly District. Visit our website for more information.
- Please provide a brief description that notes the nominee’s achievements, contributions, of volunteer efforts in 2024-2025, and a profile picture that we can post publicly. One page maximum. (You may attach a typed article, press release, or newsletter, & web links that describes their achievements.)
- You are encouraged to emphasize significant contributions in their respective communities and describe how their efforts have positively impacted the communities in which they serve.
