Assembly District 77 Capitol Internship Program

 
Assemblymember Tasha Boerner is seeking a paid Student Intern to work in her Capitol Office. Under the direction of the Chief of Staff and legislative team, the Student Intern will have the opportunity to learn the legislative process, attend meetings with legislative staff, assist with bill development, answer phone calls, and perform general office duties. 

The Student Intern should have knowledge of district and state issues and familiarity with regional issues. The ideal candidate would be interested in learning about the state legislative process, bill development, and how state government interacts with other governmental entities. 

Candidates must possess outstanding written and oral communication skills, as well as attention to detail. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for public policy, helping others, and making a positive difference in the community. The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position is 100% in-person in her Capitol Office. 

College graduates interested in public service and state government are encouraged to apply. 

The internship term is up to 4 months, and the ideal candidate will be able to work up to at least 20 hours per week. The compensation for the paid internship is $20 per hour and is not eligible for benefits.
